PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES
In this activity, teachers independently set up their blogs using a video tutorial. There is an expectation that teachers set a learning goal and document that learning. Traditionally, teachers have journaled about their professional growth in a Google Document. Instead of journaling in a Google Document, teachers create their own learning blogs. The blogs is set up to be viewed privately by his/her administrator, but the teacher may choose to make it public at any time based on the district’s guidelines. The goals are assessed using Colorado’s Teaching Quality Standards (CDE, n.d.).
Goal
Teachers will set professional growth goals and document progress using a professional growth blog.
