the ending is too scary so the beginning never starts

but not in this tale

the ending was scary

and dark

and filled with unknowns

and worth it

worth the pain

that

did add value to my being

learning its worth

and in turn

working to add value for others

the beginning started with a few dozen roses red

surprising me

in class

and the ending began again

when I stood again

on my own two feet

with a dozen roses

red

scanned in a self-checkout

a new beginning of a love

restored

within

as my heart has broken

and mended

and those cracks

no longer shame me

as i see the strength in a heart's fragility

where the light may come and go
